Mom's Stuffing

Ingredients

1 loaf French bread
Milk
2 eggs
1 green apple
2 celery stalks
jar pimiento
2-3 red potatoes
1 carrot (good size)
1/2 yellow onion
lots of butter
salt
pepper
poultry seasoning
paprika

Cooking Instructions

Night before, slice French bread and pour milk over the bread. (Just enough to moisten the bread, you don't want it soggy.)

In the morning mix egg in with bread and milk. You should be able to cut through the bread with a fork pretty easily, if not add more milk.

Cook potatoes and carrot. Once done chop into small cubes.

Chop celery and onion, in a food processor if you have one. If not, you can do the onion in a the blender and the celery do by hand. Chop apple into small cubes as well. Once everything is all chopped, melt some butter in a large pot. Add onion and saute. (You'll keep adding butter as needed.) Add chopped celery and saute. Then add green apple, carrots, potato, and bread. Season with salt, pepper, poultry seasoning and paprika. (The paprika is what gives the stuffing it's color.) Cook until it looks right.
