1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder

Cooking Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease and flour a 9 x 5 inch nonstick loaf pan or spray with baking spray.
2. Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Add apple and toss to coat. Beat together white sugar and butter in a bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until well blended, then add vanilla.
3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; stir into egg mixture. Stir milk into batter until smooth. Spoon half of batter (about 1 1/4 cups) into prepared pan. Add half of apple mixture and pat into batter. Spoon remaining batter over apple layer, top with remaining apple mixture and pat in.
